LTWP: College Musings

ltwp:

So my thoughts are… maybe this is a situation for me to forget about being “that guy” and being ME. I’ll stop doing things I don’t want to do, just for show, just trying to get that extra boost to land me acceptance in college and with peers, and start doing exactly what I want to do! And it’ll be fantastic, I hope! And maybe I’ll make enough money, but that’s OK if it doesn’t. That’s kinda what my last post was about. But of course this isn’t entirely realistic either. I just mean to say: maybe now’s a good chance to stop worrying agonizing amounts about school stuff and just let it slide. Have a little more fun. Still work hard, be cautious, but go out and do a bit more when you don’t want to do your homework.

I would be lying if I said I didn’t worry about money. But when I’m actually on the job, shooting or assisting, I don’t have a care in the world but what’s in front of me. So long as I can take in enough money to eat and pay rent, I’ll take everything else in stride because I’m doing what I love. I’d also be lying if I said I didn’t question what the heck I’ve gotten myself into, and how I’m going to pay the bills.

My first choice college turned me down. I ended up going to somewhere I didn’t want to, but turned out to be as good or better than my original preference would have ever been.

Hang in there.
